The Story Behind the Shot: We were driving through the Tetons in search of wildlife, our first ( and only) trip to Wyoming. Just 20 feet from the road, this beautiful, vivid fox was poised for the hunt. I'd like to say we slowed down but in reality, we slammed on the brakes. I grabbed my camera and got ready. The fox crept low to the ground, his eyes locked on something we couldn't see. He leapt, seeming to freeze in mid air, then plunged nose-first into the snow. The moment was captivating for me, and yes....successful for the fox!
