The Story Behind the Shot: We heard about a special blue-eyed leopard when we landed in Kenya. She was featured in National Geographic capturing widespread attention due to her rare and striking blue eyes. Originally photographed by wildlife photographer Will Burrard-Lucas, this leopard (named Fig) stands out with her mesmerizing gaze, which contrasts sharply with the typical golden eyes of other leopards. Finding her posed so beautifully for us was an especially precious moment.
